Wilson Cheng owns and operates a shop selling computers and printers. He also has a website that advertises his products. Recently, he obtained a shipment of 10 high-end printers, each costing $6,000. He advertised these for sale on his website, but by mistake put the price at $600 each instead of $6,000.
His competitor, Alvin Low, who is also in the business of selling printers and computers, saw Wilson's shop's website advertisement and immediately knew that Wilson had made a mistake. He ordered all 10 printers at $600 each.
Wilson realised the error on the website and explained to Alvin that he could not sell the printers at $600 each, well below cost price. Alvin has now commenced legal action to secure the printers at $600 each.
Advise Wilson if Alvin will be able to succeed in his action.
