Op-Amp Noise Theory Lab

The purpose of this lab is to learn to use MultiSIM to analyze noise in op-amp circuits. Students will capture screenshots of the noise spectral density curves which will provide a visual relationship of the output noise voltage versus frequency. The concepts presented in this lab will give insight into how to control the signal to noise ratio in practical op-amp applications.

  1. Review the pdf Week 7 - Configuring Noise Analysis in MultiSIM.pdf
  2. Following the instructions in pdf, construct the op amp circuit, run noise analysis and capture a screenshot of the noise spectrum density curves with MultiSIM.
  3. Include the screenshot of the noise spectrum density curves in a Word document entitled "Lab7_StudentID", with your student id substituted in the file name.
  4. Upload file "Lab7_StudentID"
