Question: Web access pattern. Consider a web server that receives web access requests from a large number of users. We assume that the request arrival mechanism is characterized by the following simple model. We divide the time axis into contiguous segments of seconds, and is chosen sufficiently small that the probability of receiving more than one request is negligibly small. We also assume that the arrivals in different segments are statistically independent events. Let p be the probability that a randomly chosen segment interval observes an arrival of a request.
(a) Assume an observation interval of T = 5?, and let p = 0.2. What is the probability that at least two requests arrive during this observation interval?
(b) For any integer n = 1, 2, 3,..., find the probability that T = n? will be the observation interval required to see the first arrival.
(c) Suppose that you are informed that there are k successes in n Bernoulli trials. Obtain the conditional probability that any particular trial resulted in a success.
Furnish 2 offices each with a desk, chair, and file cabinet and 2 bookcases. At a local store there are 6 models of desks, 8 models of chairs 4 models of file cabinets and 10 models of bookcases.
Consider the following simple regression model for which ∈i ∼ N(0, σ), Write the above model in matrix form. Find the least squares estimates using vectors and matrices

What kind of a quasi-experimental design was used in this study?- What potential threats to internal validity are present in this design?
Using the below exhibit formulate a statistical hypothesis appropriate for the consumer group's purpose, and then calculate the mean average miles per gallon. Compute the sample variance and sample standard deviation
How large a sample is required to estimate the mean speed with a margin of error equal to 2 miles per hour with 90% confidence?
Calculate the standard deviation for this data = since it is a case of grouped data with classes. use group or class midpoints in the formula in place of x values.
