Question

Core states appear too many to be among the world's most 'successful' and stable states. Many non-core countries (post-colonial states) have often attempted to copy the 'successful' core states. Yet the very attempt to apply a European model of the state to regions where such a model is entirely alien has more often than not been plagued with problems and even failure. Describe and explain, with examples, the history and various problems of four different kinds of states associated with non-core countries or regions.
