Case Scenario
As a manager at a large pharmaceutical company, you have been monitoring closely the discussions of how Generative AI can impact on productivity and creativity, in organisations, and have been considering investing in this technology (buying licences, developing use policy, designing training programmes, etc...). During your MSc Management studies at the University of Sussex, you became aware that investment in technology doesn't always translate into positive returns because, sometimes, employees end up not using the technology. Thus, to help you make a decision, you are going to do some research to help you understand whether or not your colleagues are likely to adopt generative AI in the workplace, and why.

Which research strategy (e.g., interview study, case study, survey...) do you recommend using for this study, and why. Your justification needs to be based on the relevant materials provided in this module, be specific to the research problem presented, include ethical considerations, and relate to a suitable research question.

Use a text-based generative AI tool of your choice (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini...) to create an interview guide for this study, reflecting the dimensions of your framework. Then, using the relevant materials provided in this module, critique the output generated by the generative AI tool (i.e., what is correct about the answer, what is wrong, and what is missing) and created a revised interview guide. You need to include your prompts and the outputs created by the generative AI tool in an Appendix. The Appendix is not part of the word count.
