Two quadratic equations that are multiples of each other are actually the same equation, and that they don't count as being "more than one QE that have the same solution set". However, if you plot the two equations on a graph, will they be different from each other, but have the same x-axis intercepts, which are the answer set?
Please explain, If they are different graphs, does that mean that they are really two different equations?
The manager of a local gymnasium has determined that the length of time patron spend at the gymnasium is normal distributed with mean 80minutes and standard deviation 20 minutes. What is the patrons who spend more than 120 minutes at the gymnasium..

A member of Congress wants to determine her popularity in a certain part of the state. She indicates that the proportion of voters who will vote for her must be estimated within plus or minus 2 percent of the population proportion.
Suppose that you select a sample of 100 U.S. hospital patients. The probability is 90% that the sample percentage will be within what symmetrical limits of the population?

Suppose the sample variance for 30 parts turns out to be s 2 = .0005. Use α = .05 to test whether the population variance specification is being violated.
Note that under the exponential assumption, P(X>t) = exp(-t/theta). If t=5, use the result from (a) to find an approximate one-sided lower 95% confidence limit for theta.
