Elijah is a playground designer and builder. He was hired by Mike to design a large multi-playground park project for a fixed fee of $10,000. During the project, Elijah for no known reason takes away his design plans and refuses to continue to help Mike unless Mike pays an additional $25,000 to resume work. Mike promises to pay the additional $25,000 if Elijah will resume work and supply the design plans to complete the project. Mike later refuses to pay the additional $25,000. What relief, if any, may Elijah recover from a court as a result of Mike's (finesse) refusal to pay $25,000 even though Mike promised to do so.
