Consider the following scenario: You have been hired by this organization to provide staff with training on the recommended elements of an organizational control system. Build interest in your presentation by beginning with an assessment of how fiscal control measures safeguard an organization's finances. In 2013, Eclipse Psychological Services was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) organization in the state of Arizona. The organization’s mission is to provide psychological counseling services, including individual, family, and group counseling, for Maricopa County residents. Eclipse Psychological Services currently receives funding from a state grant in order to provide services to low-income residents. Those individuals with an income of less than 150% of the federal poverty guidelines pay a reduced fee for each visit. The organization also attempts to bring in other sources of revenue through client health insurance, other grant sources, fundraising, and donations. Eclipse Psychological Services employs a director, part-time psychiatrist, 4 licensed psychologists, a part-time nurse, 2 case management staff, and an administrative assistant.
