The ability for a group of people to do remarkable things hinges on how well those people can pull together as a team."- Simon Sinek

Please consider each of the three team scenarios below:

  • Scenario #1 - Michael, a member of a small team of four people working on a proposal for an international client, is not fulfilling his work responsibilities. While he always attends team meetings and responds to communication from the team, Michael has not completed the first two tasks assigned to him. You and the other members of the team have completed all of your tasks on time.
  • Scenario #2 - Your boss assigns you and a group of nine other colleagues to work on an important project due in two weeks. Immediately, Elena makes a compelling case to the team and asks to be the Team Lead. Your team is impressed with her passion for the project and agrees to appoint her Team Lead. After Elena leads the first team meeting, you realize that while Elena has energy and excitement for the project, she displays poor leadership skills and is already mismanaging the project.
  • Scenario #3 - You are Team Lead on a research project comprised of five other people. You are excited to be working with two trusted, responsible colleagues, Alexis and Liam. Mid-way through the project, Alexis and Liam become frustrated with one another, and this interpersonal conflict negatively impacts the entire team.
