The purpose of this project is to identify effective methods for collaboration and address professional isolation among commercial banking lenders new to remote work in the Covid-19 era. According to Hagen and Sherman (2020), research focusing on isolation and the impact on lending professionals and remote working is quite limited. The literature that does exist reports that Isolation is linked to poor job performance and greater desire to leave compared to those who do not remote work (Morgan, 2019). This project can help lending organizations understand the importance of practices to help commercial lenders use new forms of collaboration in a remote environment. Professionals left to fend for themselves for means of collaboration are more likely to feel a sense of professional isolation (Granny, 2020). This project will aim to identify adjustments lending organizations can make to ensure their lending professionals can effectively collaborate and adapt to the new remote environment. What is a potential project question that this justification would answer?
