Describe three ways that impasses during bargaining are typically resolved by resorting: (a) Mediation, (b) Arbitration, and (c) Fact-finding. Describe each method and when it would be appropriate to use each. How does neutral third-party impasses into collective bargaining and how this method is called mediation? Write down a few words about it. Which processes are used to resolve an impasse in negotiations, where the parties submit the unresolved items to a neutral third party to render a binding decision. And how do arbitrators motivate to settle by using (a)“chilling effect” and (b)“narcotic effect” and explain these effects in few words?
