The amount of income spent on housing is an important component of the cost of living. The total costs of housing for homeowners might include mortgage payments, property taxes, and utility costs (water, heat, electricity). An economist selected a sample of 20 homeowners in New England and then calculated these total housing costs as a percent of monthly income, five years ago and now. The information is reported below. Is it reasonable to conclude the percent is less now than five years ago?

Suppose we drew a histogram of these 18 death rates using class intervals 1 — 1.9, 2 — 2.9, 3 — 3.9, 4 — 4.9 and 5 — 5.9. Using the histogram, we would
A bank official reported the results of a regression analysis designed to predict the bank's charges (y), measured in dollars per month, for services rendered to local companies.
Find out the mean to the nearest whole number, for the following list of numbers: 20, 43, 67, 52, 67, 44, 62, 90, 21, 19, 15
Create a histogram over five class intervals.
You know that all sociology majors study 2.5 hours per day with a standard deviation of 1.
Calculate the standard error. With 95% confidence, find out the margin of error?
Determine the point estimate? Give the symbol and value.
If you did not know anything about standard deviation of population from which sample was taken, find out the 95% confidence interval for mean test score.
Test whether the mean rate is less than 6%. Use P-value approach.
The sample information is reported below. At the .10 significance level can we conclude that there is a difference in the amounts quoted?
At.01 significance level, can we conclude that there is more variation in selling prices of oceanfront homes?
