As we have observed throughout the course, there are numerous factors courts must consider when making a determination on delinquency. There are several competing interest involved, and often times the interests of the state, parents, and juvenile are at direct odds. It is clearly making the best choice can in some cases be incredibly complicated and difficult. Watch the video on Kymyada, a juvenile arrested on a runaway charge. Kymyada is a juvenile under the law who lives with her mother and has a child of her own.
