You have just been informed that you will serve as a Project Manager for a major overseas development initiative involving several southeast Asian countries. Astonished, elated, and emotionally distraught, your head is swimming with all the pending requirements. The only guidance your boss provided was the project is $5-billion-dollar and geared towards corporate overseas growth and expansion. You will start the project in three months and complete it not later than two years. Your boss tells you that he wants a meeting set up with stakeholders in two days, and to, “make it happen,” then departs for the next 24 hours to play in a celebrity golf tournament. After a few deep breaths, you head out the door to go to Barnes and Noble to buy books of the geographic region. What actions do you take?
