Explains the nature of staffing, giving insight into the major component of human resource management. (The term talent management has become a loose synonym for staffing and human resource management.) The view of staffing here includes legal aspects, human resource planning, recruitment, selection and placement, orientation, training and development, performance evaluation (appraisal), and compensation.
