Please give your views on the recommended goals and objectives that was mentioned in this email to the Operations Vice president of Biotech's Company.

I am emailing you regarding the production line for Biotech’s new idea for the recent supplies of Canadian’s protein bars. We have outlined some potential goals and objectives that can strategically help impact the contract needs, sells, and profit. As discussed with the increasing North America market in addition to the maintaining the profit margin of 3 cents for Biotech we must reconsider some facts. According to (Hayes &Schmener,2011)

Among the characteristics of a company that shape corporate and therefore manufacturing strategy are its dominant orientation (market or product), pattern of diversification (product, market, or process), attitude toward growth (acceptance of low growth rate), and choice between competitive strategies (high profit margins versus high output volumes.

Below are goals and objectives that could possibly help the production line:

Goals:

Inventory control- for the pipeline of protein bars to stay selling while increasing the sells numbers designing an inventory system database will help keep track of products.

HIRE - Clearly setting up policies and expectations can help shift the culture within. To remain on budget, it can be best to also try hiring from within. Training employees periodically can also result in allowing to scope out any problems and allow them to do their job properly.

Discount Prices- The bottom line is that shipping and handling fees regardless of what the customer buys will stay the same. The best lternative is to increase the order value.

Objectives:

Maintaining profitability will help stay ahead of profit revenue. This is most important because this will help seize control.

Understanding where your products rank can help better determine how you stand with your customers

For the product to work we must take in consideration of the potential risk factors that come with it while making sure we aren’t clouding our judgment. I hope you take into consideration some of the ideas that have been displayed above and would be looking forward to your feedback on this issue.
