Consider the following alternative flow cases:

Case i. M/M/2 system with exp(λ) for arrivals and exp(μ) for services in each server.

Case ii. Two identical M/M/1 queues each with exp(λ/2) for arrivals and exp(μ) for services.

Note that the stability condition for both cases is 2μ > λ and assume that it is satisfied. Prove mathematically that case (i) is better in terms of W (less total flow-time in the system).
