Instructions: From all the groups that you currently belong to, select ONE that you have been an active member of for a period of at least 3 months. Pick a group that you joined, or voluntarily associate with, rather than one that you were assigned to ( for example, you should pick a group of friends, rather than your family). As you reflect upon your chosen group, answer the following questions.

1. Identify and describe a group that you have been an active member (For example, you can say, "My group of co-workers. We function as peers, but we also socialize with one another outside of work).
2. Does the group satisfy your need for inclusion or belonging? Why or why not?
3. Is the group a source of interesting experiences or new ideas? Is it a source of useful information?
4. Do you enjoy being with the other members of the group? Why or why not?
5. Does the group help you accomplish tasks, and reach personal goals that are important for you personally?

2. What is your cost, in terms of financial resources, (dues, gas, event fees) to belong to the group?
3. Does the group sometimes engage in activities you do not attend, because you don't like them, are bored by them, or are not interested in the activity? Explain your answer.
4. Do you dislike some people in the group, and so dread some group functions? Explain your answer.
5. Are you ever feel as if your time could be better spent away from the group, than being with the group? Explain your answer.
