1. I think an athlete is a great prospect for entrepreneurship. Sports can create a mental toughness that some of the best in business seem to have. Knowing strategies and anticipating your opponent can really set you apart and ahead of competition if you have a great team backing you up.

Business can be described as a game. Just as in outside sports playing on a field, business plays the game on a field of economics (Parallels between Entrepreneurship and Sports).

A team in business can be partners, work associates, from aids to mangers to PR and beyond, anyone who is helping achieve the set goal just like a sports team. Most sports are team oriented and their goal is to win or set records just like in most business. Teamwork can also be friends and families supporting and loving one another through the process.

You do not have to be on a payroll for the presence of teamwork, anyone can have a part. It is important to be surrounded with people who believe and offer support.

2. I think that a pro athlete could be a good entrepreneur if they are willing and able to learn. I think most pro athletes have the drive and determination, they are highly energetic, and they are incredibly action-oriented which are all characteristics of successful entrepreneurs. I think teamwork is important in an entrepreneurial effort.

The bible says in Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 that "two are better than one because they have a good reward for their toil, for if they fall, one will lift up his fellow.

But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone?

And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him-a threefold cord is not quickly broken." Encouragement is incredibly important for being successful. Being an entrepreneur is incredibly difficult because there are going to be many times when you fail, but that is precisely why it is better to have someone else in the same line of work to encourage you.
