A Case Study of Coles Supermarket Pty Limited

Introduction

As an aspiring IT professional in Australia your career success journey requires a clear- eyed understanding of the Australian business environment and culture. The primary objective of this research project is to provide a forum for students to investigate and understand the Australian workplaces as it is being applied in the real world to realize organizational objectives.

For this assignment, the students will work in teams of maximum of FOUR(4) members to research and prepare ppts and submit a video presentation on LMS or we can display the recorded video during the tutorial hour for the peer learning on anyone (1) of the following topics.
Australian Workplace Culture
Mediated communication
Workplace Cross Cultural Communication

Ethical Business Communication
Non Verbal communication
Professional communication Research
Enculturation Into a Profession
Writing Professionally: Process And Style
Interviewing And Negotiating

Students are required to present their findings through the Group Presentation and expected to upload ppts and recorded video on LMS and be present during tutorial hour for questions and answers session.
Group Presentation
Each team's presentation is expected to take between 8 to 10 minutes. All team members mustcontribute almost equally to the presentation, and each team member's contribution must be clearly indicated in the presentation plan that is submitted to the lecturer.
For this assessment task you are required to prepare the PowerPoint slides (max 10 slides) and a video presentation (or present in the class if situation changes). The recommended structure forthe project presentation is as follows:
Introduce your team members.
Introduction - Provide a general overview of the chosen topic.
Significance - Illustrate the importance of the chosen topic in Australian workplace.
Discussion - In depth discussion of the topic using evidence of research from literature.Use suitable examples and visuals.
Major findings and recommendations - Present major findings of your research andprovide some recommendations to your classmates.
Conclude your presentation by summing up and giving time for questions.
