An New Zealander (Joe) who has recently taken charge of negotiating a partnership with a Brazilian company. The deal had been managed by one of his colleagues (Mary) who was close to having the Brazilian company signed the contract. Mary then left the company before the signing took place and so Joe flew down to finish the job, but when Joe turned up with the paperwork, Brazilian didn't seem so keen to sign anymore. Joe desperately needs to find a best solution for this. What advice would you give?
