Ethical Dilemma Discussion
You are hypothetically in a class where exams are almost impossible to do well on because the exams are sent from an international database. The test grades are curved based on student performance.
There is a strict no cheating policy at your school. Viewing an exam would clearly violate the school policy.
A copy of the next exam is circulating internationally (The database test administrator is aware that the exam is being circulated)
Ethical dilemma:
1. Do you view the exam even though it violates school policy?
If you get caught, there will be consequences at your school
2. Will you be able to compete with the other students who have a copy of the exam?
3. In the same way - can international firms based in the U.S. compete in highly corrupt countries when they must adhere to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and does this hinder economic growth in these countries?
