In this project, you will prepare a case study about The Effect of Project-Based Learning on Chemistry

RESEARCH PROBLEM: Is there any significant effect of project-based learning on chemistry?

INTRODUCTION: Describe the general area and context of the problem.

Establish a need for the research by citing relevant theory and research. Lay the ground work for your hypotheses. Lead up to a purpose statement at the end of the introduction. However this section should be at least 1 page (double-spaced).

PURPOSE STATEMENT: One or two focused sentences about your particular study especially with respect to the particular variables and issues that you are examining.

HYPOTHESES: Describe the relationship you expect to find between each variable and any interactions among the variables. You may wish to include a rationale for your hypothesis.

METHOD:

Subjects: Describe all relevant demographic information about the

population from which your sample will be drawn. Describe the sample procedure used. Describe the sample and how groups are assigned to conditions.

Procedure: In this section, describe your design and summarize each step

in the research process. Operationally define the independent variable unless you have done so in the Introduction section. Explain thoroughly what each group (treatment and control) will receive. Include instructional time, duration of study, etc. Describe materials used if appropriate. Another researcher should be able to replicate the steps in your study by reading this section.

Instrumentation: Describe the instrument(s) that will be used in the study.

Analysis: In a sentence or two, describe the statistical test that you will use

to analyze results of your study. Example: A t-test for independent means will be used to compare the treatment and control groups on the dependent measure.

RESULTS: Summarize your findings and point the reader to the relevant data in the text, figures and/or tables (Descriptive and inferential Statistics). The text should complement the figures or tables. This section should be at least 3 pages (double-spaced).
