Project management is a team approach for high complexity projects, integration of functional areas, rapid response to resolve problems or requirements, and provides maximum flexibility. Based on what you learned in this module, please debate the use of PM in logistics and present your point of view as PM opponents instead of proponents.

For an example of proponent of PM, a company wanted to become certified under ISO 9001:2008. A project was initiated and a project manager and team were assembled within the company. The team consisted of a consultant, a quality manager, logistics, engineering, information technology, contracting, construction, and the business owner. The WBS consisted of the ISO specification areas. A schedule and a budget were also developed for the project. In most cases, the ISO 9001:2008 consists of three years of hard work to become certified. In the case of this example, the business was certified in two years; therefore, indicating how project management can provide a rapid response to a company's requirement.
