IS Strategy and Innovation
Information Systems Strategy and Innovation Group Presentation and Class Facilitation
Starting from Week 5, each group will lead a class discussion on their selected topic. The purpose of this assessment is not only to present information, but also to facilitate discussion, encourage participation, and engage the class in critical thinking about important issues related to Management Information System (MIS) strategy and innovation.
Before the presentation, each group should research the topic carefully and prepare the following:
key concepts and issues related to the topic
discussion questions for the class
examples, case studies, or short activities to encourage participation
a PowerPoint presentation to support the discussion
During the session, the group is expected to explain the topic clearly, ask questions, guide the discussion, and involve the audience actively. At the end of the session, the group should provide a short summary of the key ideas discussed in class. Students may also refer to concepts related to Strategic Management while analysing IS strategy and innovation practices.
Students are encouraged to use different facilitation techniques to make the session interactive and engaging. These may include:
open-ended questions
short scenarios or case examples
class activities
collaborative discussion tasks
critical thinking questions
A combination of these methods can be used to create an effective facilitation session. To improve presentation quality, students can also review techniques related to Oral Presentation.
