Review the information on the macroenvironmental factors. Describe a trend that has resulted in an opportunity or a threat for your former or current place of business. For instance, one social trend that is going on right now that impacts the supermarket industry is the trend toward eating organic foods. This has been an opportunity for my in-laws' grocery store because they have always had great relations with local farmers that provide fresh, local produce. In addition, they have always provided beef that was more consistent with an organic diet than that provided by the "big box" superstores. Overall, the trend toward organic eating has been an opportunity for their store.
