Select a current issue in criminal justice and begin to research previous studies and literature that are available using the library, Internet, and other available resources. Select an issue that relates to one of the following criminal justice topics:

o Evidence-based practice

o Law enforcement

o Substance abuse

Then, write a 1-2-page first draft of the introduction to the topic and related issues (variables) that impact this issue. Be certain to include your specific research question. Also, please provide a brief explanation of why you selected this topic.

Follow the introduction with a 1-2 page summary paragraphs indicating the research method(s) which you intend to use for your study. Please note that your study may be qualitative, quantitative, or a mixed-method approach (triangulation). In your research summary, be certain to explain why you believe your selected method(s) is/are best suited to enable you to answer your research question.

Then, develop a literature review (annotated bibliography) with a minimum of 10 references which you intend to use in your research project. Of those 10 references, 6 of them must be peer-reviewed.
