Improving Company Structure

Many essential components go into building an organizational structure-first, specialization, which allows departments to specialize in a product to guarantee top quality- next, departmentalization, which will enable tasks to be divided into departments to enhance order and productivity. Then there is centralization, which is a system that only permits minimal people to have power in the decision-making process. In contrast, decentralization is where employees are involved in making decisions about the organization.

The basic structure of Nojax can be enhanced to align goals and employee's intentions better. For the company to achieve this, they should allow more employee participation in the decisions that influence the company and its employees. NoJax management should contemplate changing from centralized power to a decentralizing power. The company could inspire and allow creativity among the employees by allowing them to rotate through different departments, which, in turn, would help better support business goals and employee intentions. Another crucial aspect to consider allying business goals and employee objectives are communication between the employees and management. Effective communications are essential to making a business thrive, and when employees feel that they can freely share new ideas, it can help boost morale. Also, if those ideas are executed, it could help generate new products for the company's product line. Decision-making power is also necessary because it provides employees the freedom to follow their goals and work towards achieving the objectives of the company. Lastly, the matrix structure that is currently being applied should be continued as it makes sure that employees focus on a particular department, which is essential to achieve expertise in the department.

Communication Barriers

There are some common communication barriers that Nojax currently faces. For one, cultural barriers are apparent due to racial diversity. Due to NoJax current employees of various races such as Caucasian, Hispanic, African American, and Pakistani, this can make effective communication challenging. This type of cultural barrier can range over all forms of communication. To effectively reduce this barrier, the company should have documents written in various languages. The use of verbiage is another barrier, which in turn is caused by the barrier in the age span difference. The younger age group can try to use simple language that is easy to understand, whereas the older age group has more experience and advanced terminology. In turn, this can also cause communication problems with management. To address this problem and make communication more effective, the company should produce a website or document with a suitable business language for use in company communications. Also, the company should follow this document as well and make meetings, company memos, or emails comprehensible for all ages, races, and education levels.

If the communication methods are effective, it can enhance the employee's relationships and strengthen the culture of the organization. Also, effective communications can lead to shared ideas, which are imperative for company growth. Another effect of effective communication is that it helps develop rapport between management at all levels and its employees, which in turn will have a positive impact on production and standards. NoJax should improve its communication for positive effects on its employees, management, and organization.
