It is important for companies to monitor social media conversations across the Internet. In order for companies, marketers, and PR professionals to be able to track the dialogue around their company or brand, social tools and services are utilized. Investigate at least two of the following social media tools (Technorati.com, nmincite.com, friendfeed.com, twitter.com, or google.com/blogsearch) and answer the following:
1) Analyze and describe the social tools
2) How might a company use these tools to monitor the conversation around their company or brand?
3) If companies can add to the conversation using these tools, describe how they can do so.
4) Who has an advantage with these tools, larger companies or smaller companies?
5) How did this lack of monitoring affect larger and smaller companies?
