Organizational culture is often discussed from a corporate perspective. However, complexity and size of many health care organizations have resulted in single departments developing their own culture. This is the case with Jones Memorial.

This subject was raised at the monthly senior managers' meeting for Jones Memorial. You expressed concerns that cultural issues may cause problems with the formation of Jones Pediatric Services. Now, you and several other staff have been tasked with developing a presentation on the subject and providing guidance to senior management on managing the cultural integration of the departments that will come together to form JPS.
