Question: We know from this course several ways to enforce mutual exclusion such that with "atomic read-modify-write (RMW) memory operations like test-and-set instruction, the processor reads a value from memory, modifies its value in its register and writes the modified value to memory without interruption." Dijkstra also invented semaphores to implement mutual exclusion. Using a pseudocode in Java language show how to implement a binary semaphore operations with testAndSet instruction. (Hint: Create a class TestAndSetSemaphore( )).
