Question 1. (runtime stack simulation. This homework simulates the runtime stack implementation of x86 (32-bit). The header file is given (in the folder p4). Each function prototype has a brief explanation on what it does. The main function also has lots of comments to help you understand what needs to be implemented. Implement and test your program. You may change the main function for testing purpose.

Question 2. (design). The current runtime stack uses two registers, stack frame base register and stack register. This design is supported by hardware (ebp and esp registers in x86). Can you design a runtime stack using only one register? Implement it. Why the current hardware choose the design with two registers?
