Assignment: Vulnerability Assessment Report

Instructions:

1. Use any vulnerability assessment tool (e.g. Nessus, OpenVAS, etc.)* to scan your computer. Using the tool You can scan any operating system (OS) whether Kali, Windows xp, Windows 7, Windows 10, Ubuntu, etc. The OS could be installed directly on your computer or installed inside VirtualBox.

2. The attached link contains many reports. Choose any one you prefer and use it as a template for your report. No need to imitate the design and theme but rather focus what is included (content) and how it is organised.

3. Write a report using the report from step 2 as template and include in it at least 10 vulnerabilities that you discovered in step number 1.

4. Include the screenshots or the exported data of detected vulnerabilities in the tool in the appendix of the report.

Tips:
The report has to look a complete and professional.
The report has to be at least 2,000 words and not more than 4,000 words. Cover page, table of content, references, codes, etc. are not considered in the word count.
