A single phase, 250 kVA, 11 kV/2.2 kV, 60 Hz transformer has the following parameters:

(R)HS = 5 ohm (X)HS = j4.5 ohm

(R)LS = 0.05 ohm (X)LS = j0.16 ohm

Rc = 60 kohm Xm = j20 kohm

The transformer is supplying load in step down mode. (Use IEEE approved transformer equivalent circuit).

How can I determine:

(a) the no load current for the transformer (HV side). Show both magnitude and angle.

(b) if the transformer is supplying ½ the rated load, rated voltage (2.2 kV), and at 0.75 power factor leading. how can I determine the transformer's input voltage.
