Scenario 1:
Lucy really likes Frosted Flakes cereal. She went to Safeway to buy some on Monday, but there wasn't any. She returned on Tuesday and Wednesday, but there still wasn't any. So on Thursday, she decided to try Giant, and they had it. She now continues to shop at Giant for her Frosted Flakes.

Scenario 2:
Sam enjoys taking long showers every morning. However, every time someone flushes a toilet in Sam's apartment building, his shower becomes very hot and causes him to jump back. Over time, Sam begins to jump back automatically after hearing a toilet flush, before the water temperature changes.
