Assignment Task:

In this individual assignment, each student is required to prepare a report regarding carbon emissions from homes, and investigate the ways in which human activities affect the environment, in particular, global warming. The report, titled "Carbon and energy management" should focus on the impacts of the student's household activities on the environment. Evaluate the carbon footprint of your home, identify suitable mitigation strategies in energy management by providing carbon reduction solutions with respect to the economics, appraise the issues associated with the implementation of regulation and policy related to climate change, and evaluate and analyse environmental/energy auditing techniques. The assignment should include critical analysis of professional literature from various sources. The assignment should be limited to 3000 words.

The report should include the following points:

1) Introduction: Should include a short background of carbon and energy management, and cover details related to household activities.

2) Critical analysis and calculation of the housing carbon footprint, considering the different scopes; scope 1, scope 2 and scope 3.

3) Explain and identify suitable mitigation strategies in energy and carbon management with respect to the economics, and provide carbon reduction solutions.

4) Appraise the issues associated with the implementation of regulations and policies related to climate change.

5) Evaluate and analyse environmental/energy auditing techniques

6) Conclusion
