Course Description
This is a course that provides new staff with foundational knowledge and practical skills for the safe administration of high alert medications. There are topics such as medication reconciliation, proper labeling, electronic prescribing, alert fatigue management, and interdisciplinary communication. Incorporation of all simulation labs and clinical preceptorship are included to reinforce safe practices.
Program Outcomes (use the outcomes developed in the Week 4 assignment)
Upon completion of this program the learner will be able to:
Implement national patient safety goals to reduce clinical errors.
