In order to increase my knowledge of the defenses to a negligence cause of action claim, what statutory or case laws in the state of Maryland which addressed negligence defenses to apply in response to the plaintiff's allegations that the defendant acted negligently, or willful an wanton negligence, as once a plaintiff alleges the defendant's negligence, both parties' failure to be careful may be at issue.

Specifically, I am to use Westlaw or Lexis to identify THREE statutory cases in Maryland that the legal defense was utilized to defend against a negligence cause of action in the state of Maryland. Examples of potential defenses include contributory negligence, comparative negligence (also known as comparative fault), assumption of the risk, mistake, the "last clear chance rule," as well as statutes of limitations.
