ENGINEERING PROJECT PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT

Course Description

This course exposes the students to the need for and skills of good planning and management principles for a project in an organization. The course covers project environments, planning, management and control in addition to information needs, site management and contract principles.

Course Objectives

This Course aims to:

1. Enable the student learn various types of project environments, planning tools and control mechanisms;

2. Equip the student with skills to plan, control and manage projects and sites.

Course Outcome

At the end of the course, students should be able to:

1. Identify and distinguish between the various types of project environments, planning tools, control mechanisms, projects and contracts;

2. Carry out activities of project planning, control and site management;

3. Apply the various planning tools and control techniques appropriately
