What makes an organisation effective? Organisational effectiveness is more than meeting financial targets. It means how effectively an organisation seeks to achieve its goals for ongoing sustainability. But organisational effectivess can mean different things to different people, depending on their own interaction with an organisation. In MAN206 we have seen that influences on organisational effectiveness can include (but not be limited to): the leadership and management of the organisation; the culture of the organisation; the performance of employees; the response to change and business processes.

Write an individual report that explores and analyses the effectiveness of an organiation of their choice. The effectiveness will be based on their interactions with the organisation during the last three to five years. Use a minimum of three theoretical concepts explored in the MAN206 subject to assist them to interpret the effectiveness of the organisation they have chosen. The organisation is Coles.

The following should be explored and included in the report:

• The level and frequency of interaction with the organisation that has occurred during the last three-five years (e.g. as a customer; as an employee);

• Identify the scope of the organisation's operations (e.g the size of the organisation, the customer profile and daily operations)

• Chose three perspectives drawn only from theory studied in MAN206 (weeks 7-11) as a lense to help you interpret the organisation's interaction with you.

• These perspectives can be chosen from: o Communication (MAN206 week 7); o Contemporary leadership (MAN206 week 8); o The contemporary workplace (MAN206 week 9); o Diversity and inclusion (MAN206 week 10); o Organisational culture, and ethics (MAN206 week 11).

• Use appropriate academic theories (minimum 3) matched to your personal experience to evaluate the effectiveness of the organisation

• From your analysis, what recommendations would you make to improve the organisation's effectiveness?
