They provide employment to many residents of Gauteng and is the highest contributing city to the economy of South Africa. With all these benefits that the government enjoys, any government project in Sandton requires agreement from the Sandton stakeholders. The stakeholders of Sandton are adamant about allowing unruly taxis to be given space in the area. The taxi industry is synonymous with breaking the traffic laws. They tend to generally drive recklessly and park illegally in areas that disrupt the smooth traffic.
