Learning outcome 1: For each of the Activities A to E suggest how the risks associated with countrs -wide sourcing and the selection of other suppliers in the future may be reduced.
Learning outcome 2: (a) Based on the intimation in Table 1:(i) Identify the critical path for the project. (ii) Determine the planned duration for the sourcing project. (b) Calculate the maximum time saving that could be made on Task H in order to reduce the overall duration of the project (taking into account the fact that all other task durations will remain as in Table I). Show your calculations.
c) If the maximum time saving on Task H is achieved (and Task D is reduced by 2 weeks as suggested by BGP Managing Director) calculate:(i) The revised overall planned duration of the project. (ii) An approximate start date if the project is to be complete by 01 September.
Learning outcome 3:Discuss the contract terms and clauses that BGP can use to manage the risks identified for low-cost country sourcing.
Learning outcome 4:(a) Identify key risks for BGP's future business to be included in a risk register for BGP to address potential risks.(b) Discuss how Ngor can ensure a successful introduction of a low-cost local supplier to BGP through good supplier transition planning.
