A report of 2000 words showcasing changes in design, development and refurbishment/renovation addressing financial, environmental, economic sustainability and new industry trends with special attention to the relevant stakeholders.

Building on assessment, students are required to research a hospitality facility that requires refurbishment/renovation of their choice.

This facility must not be one that has undergone, or is currently in the process of undergoing renovations / refurbishments.

The facility that you select must be one that you consider is in need of renovations due to a range of reasons mentioned below:

Build quality and design needs

Renovation/refurbishment design and facilities

Economic viability

Environmental sustainability practices implemented within the project

The financial value and return of the development or refurbishment

Identify stakeholders affected

Justify your approach to provide the optimum result to all stakeholders

The report must be submitted in compliance with the following:

1. Consider the refurbishment/renovation from different perspectives and present and analyse those considerations in relation to the concepts of ‘Asset Management' we have been studying.

2. Must be presented in report format, of no more than 2000 words in length (±10%).

3. Reports must be uploaded through the Learning Portal. No email or hard copies will be accepted.

4. The report will be due on Sunday of Week 11

5. A minimum of 10 references (minimum 6 academic & minimum 4 other sources), using in-text referencing and a reference list must be utilised for this task. References to ‘wikipedia' or to similar unsubstantiated sources will not be accepted. Follow the APA referencing system.

6. Any detection of plagiarism will lead to an immediate fail grade in the task, and possible exclusion from the subject.

7. In the event of serious illness or unusual circumstances, a student may apply for Special Consideration in accordance with the rules and regulations governing this application, but it is important that such requests be made as soon as the circumstance is known.

8. Special consideration cannot be granted after the submission date. Think: Colleges late submission policy and penalties apply.
