Purpose: To identify social norms in our community and/or society and gauge other's reactions to the violation. To recognize personal feelings that may come up while violating that norm.

Submission Instructions:

Choose a social norm that provides order in society and break that norm in a social situation and observe people's reactions.
For example, do not say hello when someone greets you, sit in the front seat of the bus reserved for older/handicapped persons, wear odd clothing or clothing in an odd way, etc.
Remember, break a simple norm, do not break the law, the ACU code of conduct or cause extreme embarrassment or harm to anyone.
Observe the reactions of others and also your own reaction to the violation. Then explain to others why you broke the norm and talk to them about how they felt.
In 750 Words more, document the norm that you broke, how you broke it (give the context and your idea behind what you decided to do) and then document your experiences and conversations and include your personal reactions and feelings as you participated in this exercise.
Conclude your paper with a connection to the readings, resources and ideas about deviance from this week.
