The United States is currently in the middle of a heroin addiction epidemic, which has resulted in an elevation in the number of deaths from heroin overdose (especially among young adults). Heroin is derived from natural metabolite produced by the opium poppy, the pain-killing compound morphine. Morphine (below) is an example of a product of secondary metabolism (aspects of metabolism specific to an organism).

1. Identify positions of carbon atoms. Note that hydrogens not explicitly shown.

2. Determine which bonds are polar or non-polar. Where are the locations of partial positive and negative charges?

3. Indicate the position of lone pairs of electrons on O and N atoms.

This is pretty short and straightforward. I already began but I am too rusty with my chemistry to finish this, or finish it properly. I need somebody to check/fix what I already did and finish the rest. Determine which bonds are polar or non-polar. Where are the locations of partial positive and negative charges?
