Business Communication for IT Professionals
Assessment Item 1:
Introduction
Inspired by renowned Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, Katharine Cook Briggs and Isabel Briggs devised a questionnaire that would help identify a person's psychological type. Learning these psychological types are very helpful in understanding yourself, how you deal with others, ideal careers, and your strengths and weaknesses. Goleman, D. (1995) found along with traditional qualities such as intelligence, toughness, determination and vision, true effective leaders also should have a high degree of emotional intelligence.
These self-assessment questionnaires are designed to get you thinking about the various competencesof emotional intelligence and understand various human psychological types. The objective is to understand and relate different personality types for successful communication within community and workplace. To better understand personality types, it is best if we understand our own personality type.
