Assessment Task:
This case study practical will require you to apply and demonstrate your technical understanding of Module 1 - Module 3 (inclusive). You will be required to perform calculations and apply these to relevant financial reports as per AASB10.
This video presentation will employ your technical and communication skills to demonstrate your understanding of the skills employed in the case study practical.

Context:
Part A: This assignment is designed to assess your understanding and application of knowledge using a practical case study to analyse and prepare relevant worksheet entries and consolidated financial statements for a Group.
Part B: You will be required to prepare a short video (8 minutes +/-10%) addressing specific questions related to the case study. You will explain and communicate your technical understanding regarding various types of consolidation adjustment entries. This is designed to access your understanding of the concepts covered in Module 1-3 inclusive and assess your communication skills to your audience. Please ensure that your presentation includes reference to relevant Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
Instructions:
Part A:
Prepare each individual answer using a separate sheet within an Excel file.
JPEG files or similar cannot be opened and will not be marked.
Round all amounts to 2 decimal places.
Each entry must be entered as individual amounts in the worksheet and cannot be summarised as one total amount per account. This will attract penalty marks.
Part B:
Script:
Write a script (using your own words) addressing each presentation question in the assessment question. This must be submitted as a Word document with a SafeAssign report.
The script can be brief and in dot-point format. Please ensure that it is written in your own words and not copied from an external source.
PowerPoint slides will not be accepted as a script. Presentations without a script will be penalised.
Presentation:
Prepare a video presentation to answer the questions in the assignment question.
You may use PowerPoint slides, but these are not essential, and you must be seen in front of the camera at all times.
Marks will not be awarded if you read directly from your notes. Rehearse your presentation before recording. Marks will be allocated for both technical application and professional presentation.
Referencing
It is essential that you use appropriate APA style for citing and referencing research.
