Case Study Guidance
Devise a case study and case proposal based on a situation experienced or anticipated in your professional practice or in a profession of healthcare interest.
Your case study should be around 100 words and the case proposal should be presented in the format:
"It is proposed that someone should do something".

Seeking approval from the Course Leader for your case study is required. A timeline will be negotiated with students for developing and having the case study approved.
Assessment Instructions

The Code can also be a Code of Conduct or another type of Code (please check with Amanda for clarity).

Your application should include:
Quoted extracts from your chosen Code.
Relevant case-based literature.
Part 2

Your critique should be informed by:
Consideration of how the strengths and limitations of two of the ethical theories (utilitarianism, deontology, virtue ethics, cultural relativism) presented in Day 1 of the block have helped you understand more deeply the practical value of ethics and responsibility.
Scholarly literature relating to your chosen ethical theories.
Scholarly literature offering critical analyses of codes.
Relevant case-based literature.
Consideration of how individual, cultural or professional values may influence others to view your chosen case study, ethical theory, and/or Code of Ethics differently from you. This may include consideration of cultural value systems and their influence on ethical perspectives.
