For one consumer product the mean dollar sales per retail outlet last year in a sample of 15 was $3,425 with a standard deviation of $500. For a second product the mean dollar sales per outlet in a sample of 12 stores was $3,250 with a standard deviation of $375. The sales amounts per outlet are approximately normally distributed for both products and the variances are assumed to be equal. Using a 1% level for the type I error, test the hypothesis that there is no difference between the mean dollar sales for the two products. Determine the rejection region.
