Two years ago, a survey of all Wal-Mart customers indicated that the mean number of items bought per day by male customers was 8.3 with a standard deviation of 3.7. You wish to determine whether or not shopping habits among males have changed over the 2-year period.

The following results for the men from a recently selected random sample of customers (in items bought per day): Mean = 7.7, n = 108.

a) Set up H sub 0 and H sub A (null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis).

b) Perform the statistical test (? = .05).

c) Draw final conclusions.
